Lydia K. Gregory, a native of Pleasant Shade, Tennessee, brings a deep-rooted commitment to providing thoughtful, results-driven legal services across the state. She graduated magna cum laude from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, concentrating in Criminal Justice. During her undergraduate studies, she was selected to attend the prestigious National Forensics Academy, where she completed an intensive ten-week training program.
Balancing full-time work and volunteer efforts, Lydia interned with a law firm in Cookeville, where her interest in the legal profession began to take shape.
Lydia earned her Juris Doctor from Nashville School of Law while working full-time as a Senior Paralegal at a boutique family law firm on West End in Nashville. Her hands-on experience in family court and estate planning sharpened her legal writing and research skills and fueled her passion for supporting individuals and families through critical life decisions.
After passing the Uniform Bar Exam and being admitted to practice law in Tennessee, Lydia launched her legal career as an Associate at Griffin Law Group, PLLC in the Middle and East Tennessee offices. She has since transitioned her practice to Banks Law Firm, P.A., where she continues to serve clients—now in West Tennessee—with the same diligence and care. Her areas of focus include estate planning, family law, and related civil and criminal matters.
Lydia also served as County Commissioner for District 1 in her home county of Smith, reflecting her long-standing dedication to community service and civic leadership.
Outside the office, Lydia enjoys spending time on the lake, kayaking, fishing, and traveling. She values quality time with her loved ones, including her friends, family, and their two dogs, Remi and Dixie.
